Incumbent Kiwis test halfback Thomas Leuluai, a reluctant convert to English Super League after being jettisoned by the New Zealand Warriors, has extended his stay with the London Broncos.
Leuluai, who earned his seventh cap in last month's 16-32 Anzac test loss to Australia, has resisted offers to return to the National Rugby League (NRL).
When he was released from Ericsson Stadium, a move to Parramatta was all but completed when the Warriors declared he could not turn out for a rival NRL club this season, necessitating a move north to England.
Leuluai, 19, was anxious about settling so far from home but revealed he had no regrets.
He signed a one-year extension, tying him to the London Broncos until the end of 2006, to the relief of coach Tony Rea.
"Tommy is a world-class player with his best years ahead of him," Rea told the club's website.
"I think he will become one of the game's finest halfbacks."
