The Warriors have managed to hold on to form forward Wairangi Koopu, with the Kiwis back rower signing a three year deal to stay in Auckland.
Warriors coach Tony Kemp says Koopu has taken his play to another level this season.
The 2004 player of the year is one of the first players Kemp selects each week, and he has also responded to an off-season challenge to show more leadership.
Koopu says he did not want to leave New Zealand and the Warriors, who were always going to be his first choice if the deal was good enough.
