League: Jones clears the confusion

Stacey Jones admits he made a mistake last week by not answering questions at his Warriors departure announcement.

Jones has come under fire from fans and media for not fronting fully.

Speaking to Deaker on Sport on Monday night Jones admits he got it wrong and he also wants to clear up stories suggesting he hates the media.

Jones says on the whole, the media has been kind to him during his football career, and he can take criticism when he does not play well.

Jones says he was nervous at his departure media conference, and just wanted to read out a statement and leave.

However, with the benefit of hindsight, he says he should have stuck around and fielded questions.
