The Warriors' Louis Anderson, one of the few Kiwis to have a good Tri-Nations series, could be a target for Leeds, who are reportedly "scouring the world" for a hooker to replace injured Great Britain international Matt Diskin.
Diskin faces a knee reconstruction after tearing ligaments and will be out of action for six months, and Leeds have little in the way of back-up.
The versatile Anderson is among the names being mentioned on the grapevine.
Meanwhile Wigan have welcomed their four new overseas signings - Australians Dennis Moran and Luke Davico and New Zealanders David Vaealiki and Jerry Seu Seu - to the club.
