Kiwis and Warriors star Stacey Jones has been linked with the new French Superleague team, but the overseas side is shying away from any talk about an acquisition.
Director of football for the club, former NRL coach David Waite says they are fully aware of Jones' situation, but as far as he is concerned they have not approached him, as yet.
Waite says Jones is in their sights, but so are other New Zealand and Australian based players and while they are well on track with recruitment, he can not reveal anything at this point.
Waite says they are trawling the globe for off-contract players, offering them a new challenge of living and playing in France.
He says all those sorts of things have to remain close to their chest.
However, he does say that usually where there is smoke, there is fire, although he is quick to point out he has not been in touch with Jones or his management himself.
The new French team starts playing early next year.
