KEY POINTS:
The Warriors have signed Storm halfback Liam Foran and Auckland Vulcans half Aaron Heremaia as they look to find a long-term solution in the troublesome No 7 jersey.
Heremaia will join the NRL squad on an off-season contract with a view to extending the arrangement if he impresses during the trial term. Isaac John will also step up to the NRL squad next season.
But it's the 20-year-old Foran who will come with the biggest expectations. The Auckland-born halfback has played only three NRL games but as Cooper Cronk's understudy, chances have been limited. The games he has played were as a dummy-half option off the bench when Cameron Smith was on Origin duty.
Foran represents the final piece in the Warriors' recruitment puzzle for 2009 but that could change if Nathan Fien goes to Huddersfield. The 29-year-old has one year left on his deal but has been given permission to find another club and is said to be close to a deal with the UK Super League outfit.
Foran has played for NSW age-group sides as well as Australian Schoolboys on their 2006 European tour but last year played five-eighth for the Junior Kiwis in their win over the Junior Kangaroos.
Warriors coach Ivan Cleary said the club were determined to build depth in the halves.
