SYDNEY - The Sydney Roosters are likely to be missing Queensland State of Origin firebrand Michael Crocker for their NRL match against the Warriors on Saturday.
Utility Crocker has been charged with a grade-one dangerous throw following the Roosters' 26-16 loss to the Wests Tigers on Sunday and will sit out at least two matches unless the club opts to contest the charge and is successful at the NRL judiciary tomorrow.
If he takes an early guilty plea he will not be available until the Roosters' round 21 away trip to St George Illawarra on July 29.
Crocker, who ended the match in the sinbin after abusing referee Sean Hampstead, is one of six players summoned to the judiciary after last weekend's matches.
Canberra captain Simon Woolford faces at least six weeks on the sidelines after being charged with a grade-two dangerous throw.
Fellow veteran Jason Stevens, of Cronulla, will miss two games if he enters an early guilty plea for a grade-one dangerous throw.
St George Illawarra captain Trent Barrett will miss this weekend if he lodges an early guilty plea for striking, after a well-publicised fight with Parramatta hooker PJ Marsh last Friday.
Barrett has been charged with grade-two striking for punching Marsh after the former Warrior appeared to clip him on the chin while trying to charge down a kick. Marsh's action attracted a grade-two careless high tackle charge, but his clean disciplinary record means he will escape suspension if he takes an early guilty plea.
Roosters five-eighth Jamie Soward will be available to face the Warriors at Aussie Stadium regardless of whether he contests a tripping charge and loses as he has a spotless disciplinary record.
