KEY POINTS:
Warriors dummy-half Nathan Fien is hoping the change to the NRL's interchange laws this season will make him more effective.
In 2008 coaches will be allowed to make a maximum of 10 substitutions rather than 12.
Fien said it remains to be seen exactly what impact it will have but he is sure if they play well it will benefit the smaller players.
Fien added the team has faith in new fullback Aidan Kirk and want him to play his own game against the Melbourne Storm on Monday night.
Kirk has been given the first opportunity to press his claims in the number one jersey but they do not want him to feel the need to play like Wade McKinnon.
Fien said they just need him to do the things he does well and if that happens the team will perform.
Meanwhile, former Balmain Tigers prop Steve ";Blocker"; Roach has his eye on one of the Warriors' most enigmatic figures this season.
Roach said new signing Brent Tate is an obvious standout in the Warriors backline, but he is also interested in the progress of Manu Vatuvei in 2008.
He said Vatuvei has unbelievable potential and on his day he is one to watch.
Roach said the Warriors should not be written off this year, even though they are without McKinnon.
Despite finishing fourth last year, the Warriors have been left out of many experts' top eight this year, although Roach believes the Warriors are going to be one of the surprise sides this season.
He believes any team which has Steve Price and Ruben Wiki is a chance.
