"If you can do that and hold teams to between 12 and 16, 18 points you're going to give yourself a chance of winning every game.
"If we can do that there's no doubt in my mind that we have enough points in us and can score enough tries to win and then hopefully build on the back of that."
The Warriors have struggled to apply themselves throughout 80 minutes over the past month with slow starts to both halves and lapses during key moments last week leaving them with too many points to chase down against the Eels.
In his club debut, Foran inspired the Warriors to a gutsy 28-22 victory over the Titans when the sides met in a round five clash in Auckland, but the Titans showed they can strike from anywhere by twice scoring two tries in five minutes to claim a 22-12 halftime lead.
Foran believes field position will be all important as they look to nullify the Titans unpredictable attack, featuring NSW State of Origin stars Jarryd Hayne and Nathan Peats, creative halves Ashley Taylor and Kane Elgey, and former Warriors wrecking ball Konrad Hurrell.
"They're quite a creative footy side," said Foran. "They do have a lot of points in them and are pretty unstructured.
"They're a bit like Penrith in that sense, where you're not really too sure what they're going to throw at you.
"So if ever there's a game to try to dominate possession and try and keep them down in their half this is it. And that means a real emphasis on our kicking game."
Foran's leadership was a big reason the Warriors went to so much effort to sign the Bulldogs-bound playmaker on a one-year deal and his form has been strong despite the side's frustrating run of results.
The Kiwis international admits he and other senior players have had to strike a delicate balance in laying down the law and encouraging their teammates as they strive to remain in the playoff race.
"It's a hard one. It's a fine line, trying to set those markers really high and being hard on one another but also being aware that we've got to keep the spirits and belief high.
"At this stage of the year we're still pretty positive and there's still a lot of belief amongst the group.
"We're hard on each other every day but it's a good time for us to just keep believing in what we're doing and sticking to what's been working for us.
"We can't be taking two steps forward one week and then another step backwards the next. We've got to be able to build and keep building week after week."
