The New Zealand Rugby League's (NZRL) judiciary committee will decide later this week whether Shaun Metcalf will be readmitted to the game after hearing his application yesterday.
A three-person panel headed by Simon Lockhart QC met with Metcalf and friends Geoffrey Ruaporo and Kyle Donovan who want registration to play for the Otahuhu club.
All have completed prison terms for an assault on the former Warriors development player Metcalf's pregnant girlfriend, which was intended to cause her to miscarry.
NZRL chairman Selwyn Pearson told NZPA this morning the hearing ran for most of yesterday, but he expected no decision until later this week.
