KEY POINTS:
Sydney police have yet to interview Warriors wing Michael Crockett about an allegation of sexual misbehaviour made against him after the team's game against the Roosters last Sunday.
Crockett, who denies any wrongdoing, and the other players had a meal together after the 31-all draw at Aussie Stadium.
Later a group gathered to celebrate the 21st birthday of Kiwis and Roosters centre Iosia Soliola.
Crockett met the complainant while with the group.
The pair left the group and the alleged incident is said to have happened some time afterwards, away from the hotel.
The woman laid a complaint at Redfern police on Monday and the Warriors were advised then.
No other player was involved.
Crockett flew back to Auckland with the team and was named on Tuesday to play against Gold Coast at Mt Smart Stadium this Saturday.
He was withdrawn from the team yesterday after talks with coach Ivan Cleary and Warriors CEO Wayne Scurrah.
Scurrah said it was agreed it was in the player's best interest to have the next few days off.
The team trained at the home of the Ellerslie Eagles yesterday with former All Black Jonah Lomu, a regular at their games, on the sidelines.
Patrick Ah Van took Crockett's place on the right wing and looks likely to keep it for Saturday night.
Scurrah said Crockett and the others that went to Sydney all turned up on time and in good condition for their rehab session on Monday.
There had been no breach of team protocols in terms of drinking.
"Players get together and have a few drinks after the game and we don't have an issue with that."
Scurrah said Crockett had denied the allegations against him and told management he'd done nothing wrong. He was concerned he had been subject of a distraction for the team.
The club had arranged legal advice for him in Sydney. "We're doing our best to support him."
Scurrah said there was also concern for the complainant.
Neither he nor Sydney police would release details of the allegation, citing privacy issues.
The police are continuing their inquiries and the Warriors and the NRL, which was informed of the allegation on Monday, await the outcome.
Crockett, 23, is in his first season at the club after transferring from Wests Tigers and his form is such he would have played every game had it not been for injury and a suspension for a high tackle.

Tevita Leo-Latu, who used the surname Latu in New Zealand, has been banned for six weeks in Super League after being found guilty of using racial abuse.
The Wakefield hooker, 26, who was dumped by the Warriors after drink-related incidents and then from the Cronulla Sharks after punching a woman in the face, abused teenage Warrington winger Kevin Penny in a game in mid-June.
It was bad weekend for former Warriors at the RFL judiciary with Leeds fullback Brent Webb banned for four weeks for two reckless high tackles and Bradford prop Joe Vagana banned for two weeks for using his forearm.
