Isaac John is one of two current Warriors players named in an 18-man Cook Islands squad to play the Kiwis in Rarotonga on October 6.
The game is being used by the Kiwis in preparation for the Four Nations and John, who has made nine first-grade appearances for the Warriors since 2009, has been selected along with current Junior Warriors prop Nathaniel Peteru.
Also included is front rower Karl Temata, who played 52 times for the Warriors from 2002-2005 before joining the London Broncos (now the Harlequins) in the English Super League, and Leon Panapa, son of former Kiwi international Sam Panapa.
The squad includes a number of others with NRL experience, including Tinirau Arona, Sam Brunton, Jonathan Ford, Drury Low, Sam Mataora, Brad Takairangi and Zane Tetevano.
They are coached by former Kangaroo David Fairleigh.
