The Warriors have struggled for consistency for some time and I find it difficult to understand how we went from playing so well one week to playing so badly the next against the Sharks.
For me, the biggest problem we have at the club is the attitude each player approaches the games with because it has a big impact on how the team performs.
I certainly don't exclude myself from this because I was filthy with the way I played against the Sharks last weekend.
I was captain and needed to lead by example but I failed to live up to my expectations and failed to lay the platform for the rest of the team.
When the captain doesn't play well, it spreads like a disease and there wasn't an antidote in Sydney.
It was painful watching the video this week and it is more than enough motivation to turn things around today against the Broncos.
I think a lot of the guys expected that we would pick up where we left off against the Wests Tigers but that's unrealistic in the NRL. There are too many good teams and, when you're not on your game, you will get punished.
Aussies are great at getting themselves up for every game because they are so competitive but I think at the Warriors we struggle to do this.
We need to learn how to win consistently, otherwise we will continue to be a frustrating team to follow.
It needs to be remembered that we have a lot of young guys who are learning their trade. It probably takes 50 NRL games to understand the game and only then can you really call yourself an NRL player.
We certainly have experience at the top with the likes of myself, Steve Price and Awen Guttenbeil but there is a huge gap between the senior guys and the rest and that will take time to sort out. Awen is a true leader and when he says something, it's right on the money.
I really would love to see him stay at the club because I think his experience is invaluable.
The silly season of the transfer deadline can be a distraction, particularly for the younger guys but they need to put it out of their mind.
There might be a few players who come and go but, as players, it's not our problem because we don't make the decisions. We have a lot of heart and a lot of passion - and everyone has an off day. But we all need to look at the way each player prepares for each game.
That starts against the Broncos today. They are a side stacked with quality internationals and are used to to winning.
Basically, we will need to be on our game to pick up the points.
We might have a good record against them but it's about what happens on the day.
