Graham Lowe has blamed a "bro culture" at the Warriors for a nine game losing slump which includes a disastrous start to the 2016 season.
A shocking first half display at Campbelltown saw the Warriors fall to defeat in round one against a lowly rated Wests Tigers side. Thanks to the recruitment of Issac Luke and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, the Warriors went into the season as third favourites behind 2015 grand finalists North Queensland and Brisbane in some NRL betting markets.
Lowe, once a part-owner of the Auckland-based club, told the Daily Telegraph that the "Warriors are going backwards".
The former Kiwi and Queensland coach is now the unofficial mentor to new Blues rugby coach Tana Umaga. He said it was a "cop out" to claim the Warriors came back into Saturday's match.
"There wasn't the slightest sign of any improvement...the score totally flattered the Warriors," he said.
