Former England coach Steve McNamara is being tipped as the potential third assistant coach at the Warriors.
On Tuesday, Stephen Kearney was announced as the new Warriors coach, with Andrew McFadden and Stacey Jones as his assistants.
At the time Warriors CEO Jim Doyle also said the club would be a appointing a third assistant coach, "with international experience".
Australian sources have confirmed to the New Zealand Herald that McNamara is the likely candidate for the role.
Kearney and McNamara know each other well, as they were rival head coaches at international level for almost six years. Their international playing careers also intersected in the 1990s.
