Manly prop Darcy Lussick has hit out at the match review committee for slapping Charlie Gubb with a potential seven-week ban for a shoulder charge on the Sea Eagles big man that didn't even attract a penalty.
Gubb was issued a grade two charge for the outlawed tackle technique after match vision was analysed, with the Warriors forward playing a part in a three-man tackle on Lussick in Saturday's match between the two sides.
However, due to two prior offences that carry a 50 per cent loading, Gubb is facing seven weeks on the sidelines if he challenges the charge and is found guilty, or a five week ban if he enters an early guilty plea.
If he does choose to fight the charge he may well call on Lussick to give evidence after the victim of the shoulder charge spoke out about the potential ban on Twitter.
