Brent Tate has shed a few tears throughout his league career - mostly after terrible injuries kept him out of the game for long periods and even threatened his career - but he broke down for a different reason on Wednesday night. The former Warriors centre was named man of the match in Queensland's thrilling 12-10 win over NSW and then received the Peter Jackson Medal for his services to the Maroons. "I am the proudest Queenslander walking around, let me tell you," he said afterwards.
5 In the runs
Feleti Mateo will play his 69th consecutive game since joining the Warriors when he takes on the Wests Tigers tonight. It is some achievement, but still far short of a club record.
Stacey Jones played 101 consecutive games between 1995 and 1999. Simon Mannering also racked up 92-straight games from 2006-09 and Micheal Luck played 70 in a row between 2006 and 2008. Titans prop Luke Douglas is on an incredible run of 187 consecutive games since his NRL debut in 2006.
6 Try, try and try again
Warriors target Sam Tomkins just can't seem to stop scoring. The England fullback, who is expected to be confirmed as a Warriors player soon, has scored an incredible 32 tries in 19 games this season.
In one seven-game stint, he touched down a phenomenal 19 times and it has helped Wigan to the top of the UK Super League table.
