For six players from both sides, this match at Allianz Stadium might be a little difficult to get up for after being involved in a New South Wales outfit that came agonisingly close to dethroning Queensland for the first time in eight years. But get up they must. The Roosters, who have James Maloney, Michael Jennings, Boyd Cordner and the much-maligned Mitchell Pearce, are on a three-game winning streak and will want to maintain the pressure on Souths at the top of the table. Cronulla, who welcome back Luke Lewis and Andrew Fifita from Origin duty, have won their last two and sit fifth on the table but will be without injured captain Paul Gallen.
2 The cheek of it
Streaker Wati Holmwood has grabbed as many headlines as Queensland, who won their eighth-straight Origin series on Wednesday night. Holmwood, who was well tanned and greased up in an effort to avoid security, just "wanted to see myself on TV" and "to make it interesting". He has certainly created interest. By lunchtime yesterday at least eight Facebook pages had been set up in his honour, including one with nearly 20,000 followers who were being asked to donate money to pay his fine, which is expected to be A$5500 ($6412). Video clips had also been created showing Holmwood beating six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt in a sprint.
3 Benchi Marshall
It's hard to see Benji Marshall playing in the upcoming World Cup and it might save coach Stephen Kearney from making a difficult and controversial selection. With Kieran Foran assured one spot in the halves, Marshall and Shaun Johnson are competing for the other spot. Marshall might not like the idea of potentially being a squad player (players 18-24) to end his international league career.
