The season is over for the Junior Warriors after a second straight defeat in the Toyota Cup playoffs.
The defending champions fell to the Sydney Roosters 28-10 in Sydney tonight after the two teams were locked up 10-10 at the break.
The Roosters went out to an early 10-0 lead on the back of tries to Ryley Jacks and Chris Taripo in the opening 13 minutes. The Warriors hit back with tries to Ngataua Hukatai and David Fusitua along with a conversion by Mason Lino to square it up.
The home side however pulled away with the match in the final quarter with three tries. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck put the Roosters ahead in the 62nd minute before a Chris Taripo penalty took his side out to a 16-10 lead. Samisoni Langi touched down with 10 minutes left to stretch the lead further before Taripo scored the Roosters' fifth right on fulltime.
The Roosters will play the Wests Tigers in next weekend's Preliminary final.
