New Zealand rugby league winger Henry Fa'afili scored a hat-trick of tries as the Kiwis beat Great Britain 30-16 in the first test at Ewood Park today.
The Kiwis kept their cool in the second half after Great Britain led 10-6 at halftime, scoring five tries to one to take the match with ease.
Kiwis captain Stacey Jones, who scored in the first half with a smart dummy, was man-of-the-match, and centre Nigel Vagana went over to score three tries.
Great Britain winger Karl Pratt cost his team dearly, consistently misreading the Kiwis' cross-field chip kicks and bombs.
The teams meet again for the second test of the three-match series at Huddersfield on Saturday.
