Australia were forced to battle from behind this morning (NZ time) to make the final in next weekend's Rugby League World Cup.
The tournament favourite Kangaroos trailed 8-20 at one stage, but finished far too strongly for the Welshmen at the half-full Huddersfield stadium and finished up comfortable 46-22 winners.
Australia's tries came from Bryan Fletcher, Craig Gower, Ben Kennedy, and Darren Lockyear and Brad Fittler with two each.
New Zealand beat England 49-6 in the other semi-final, on Sunday.
