A UK rugby league match was bizarrely halted this morning as a fan invaded the pitch and attempted to kick a conversion.
Warrington winger Gene Ormsby had just scored a try in their Super League match against Salford and Stefan Ratchford was lining up the conversion from out wide when the action unfolded.
"I think we've had a little bit of a nonsense here," the commentator said.
"As Ratchford was setting up for the conversion I think a fan has jumped off the terraces and has kicked the ball. He nearly got it too, it's good technique.. but I think he should have kept that planting a foot a little stronger."
