Former coach Tony Kemp is tipping the Warriors to reach the NRL grand final after the side booked a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2011.
Kemp, who played 25 tests for New Zealand, told the Radio Sport Breakfast that the Warriors could beat any other side in such a tight top eight.
"I've been saying it for the last month, if the Warriors make the eight they're as good as anyone to make the final and probably win the competition," he said.
"The competition is so close this year I wouldn't care whether you finish one or eight. If you're in it, you're in it with a chance to win it."
Kemp said the Storm, currently sitting in top spot, are hard to go past as reach the grand final, and is hoping the Warriors are the team to join them.
