A stay in hospital had a silver lining for one young Auckland girl, who was visited by members of the Gold Coast Titans rugby league team.
Here for the Dick Smith Auckland Nines Tournament, some of the Titans popped in to Waitakere Hospital to pay a visit to young fans.
One of those was Tatyana-Rose Rasmusen, 7, from New Lynn. The youngster was clearly thrilled to meet prop Ryan James, centre Siuatonga Likiliki and prop Mark Ioane.
The Titans regularly visit hospitals in Australia to spend time with sick children, often on their days off.
They are also set to visit the Hibiscus Coast Rugby League Club today to meet and greet local players and share some of their skills. The team will be at the Stanmore Bay Reserve from 4pm-6pm.
