Gold Coast Titans chief executive David May says there's nothing to suggest a vial of liquid found hidden in a changing room at the team's home ground is linked to the NRL club.
May said he understood a single suspicious vial was found concealed in plumbing in the room at Skilled Stadium and it had been handed to Australian Sports Anti Doping Authority (ASADA).
The vial, reportedly containing urine, was found by police during a training exercise.
May says 45 teams have used the changing rooms at Skilled Park since the Titans were last there, including the 44 teams at the World Rugby Sevens series tournament.
May said he was not concerned that the issue could tarnish the team's reputation, but he was concerned about how it would be reported in the media.
