Heartened by impressive training, Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan isn't shying away from discussing the rare feat of back-to-back NRL titles.
"I don't know why we can't win it again (in 2017)," Flanagan told Sharks TV.
"That competitive nature, that desire is still there."
Long-suffering Sharks fans won't be getting too ahead of themselves after being forced
to wait 49 years for their first premiership.
But Flanagan believed the early signs were good that Cronulla could become the first team
since Brisbane (1992-93) to successfully defend their premiership.
