PANTHERS 28 BRONCOS 18
SYDNEY - Penrith have ended Brisbane's National Rugby League season with a 28-18 win over the Broncos in the fourth qualifying final at Penrith Football Stadium today.
Under the complex McIntrye finals system, the win earned the Panthers next weekend off and allowed Canberra to fight another day.
Penrith will meet the winner of next Saturday's first semifinal between Canberra and the New Zealand Warriors for a berth in the grand final.
Melbourne and the Bulldogs will clash in the second semifinal next Sunday, with reigning premiers the Sydney Roosters awaiting the winner of that match.
