The Penrith Panthers ended a two-game losing streak with an unconvincing win over the Wests Tigers in the NRL last night.
The defending champion Panthers won 22-20, with winger Amos Roberts scoring two tries.
After the Panthers led 16-10 at halftime, Kiwis star Joe Galuvao gave them a decisive 12 point lead by brushing away five Tigers tacklers to score.
The Tigers still came back to have the chance of pushing the game into extra time with a late try from Ben Galea but the conversion to level the score shaved the uprights.
