Gold Coast centre Konrad Hurrell could miss next year's Auckland Nines after injuring his medial ligament at training.
Hurrell was wearing a large brace on his right knee on Tuesday as his teammates completed their final field training session of the year at the Titans' new Parkwood base.
The 25-year-old, who left the Warriors midway through last season to join Gold Coast, suffered the injury during a tackle in an opposed session with the Burleigh Bears late last week.
Scans have revealed a minor tear in the ligament.
Coach Neil Henry said it was likely Hurrell would only miss three or four weeks, but couldn't guarantee his fitness for the Nines, to be played on February 4-5.
"He's just in a brace for probably two weeks, which is a bit of a setback for him, he's been training really well," Henry said.
