The Warriors have decided to "err on the side of caution" and leave centre Ivan Cleary out of the team for their National Rugby League match against Wests Tigers in Sydney on Monday.
Cleary was included in the squad earlier in the week despite being carried from the field after suffering a heavy blow to the head during the Warriors' 14-6 win over the Melbourne Storm in Auckland last Sunday.
Club medical staff carried out a full examination on Cleary yesterday, after which he was replaced in the starting line-up by David Myles.
Warriors chief executive Trevor McKewen said: "Ivan could have played, but we felt it was prudent to spell him ... it was felt that Ivan's long-term health was the most important factor."
