Warriors assistant coach Stacey Jones says the Roosters muscled their way to a 32-0 victory at Mount Smart last night.
The Sydney-based team handed the Warriors their third loss this season in front of 14,095 fans in the Indigenous Round clash that saw the Warriors fail to front up to the Sydney pack.
Speaking to Mark Watson on Newstalk ZB's Sports Power Hour, Jones said the key to defeating the Warriors is through physicality.
"If you look at the Melbourne game, the Broncos game, they had a narrow focus of being physical.
"In this competition, we're a team that teams know if they come physical and get on top of us they'll get a result," he said.
Dylan Napa and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves lead from the front for the Roosters, chewing up metres with the ball in hand and tackling with tenacity that inspired the rest of their outfit.
The Warriors were heading into game knowing what was coming too, Jones admitted.
"We knew what the Roosters were going to bring and we just didn't go with them.
"It was a physical battle that we got well and truly beaten in… we've sort of set up a blueprint for other teams of what they can do and where we're weak," Jones told Watson.
Jones was adamant that the Warriors are able to match their opponents, but too many mistakes on attack and defence lead to their demise.
The Warriors ended the game with 15 errors to the Roosters 10 and finished the 80 minutes with 11 incomplete sets.
"That's the game, we certainly can [match other teams physically]," Jones said.
"That's the nature of this competition, we've got to do it every week and it's hard for teams to do that… the Dragons at this stage are the only team that have done that consistently."
The Warriors were without key playmakers Shaun Johnson and Issac Luke for the clash, with backups Mason Lino and Karl Lawton kept quiet throughout the game.
Lino left the field in the 67th minute with a potential high ankle sprain which could see him miss out on Friday's away clash against Parramatta.
He was walking around in the changing rooms after the game and would be going for scans later today Jones said, hoping that it isn't serious.
