The thing that stands out for me is a lack of leaders.
The importance of leaders on the field can't be understated and the fact Thomas Leuluai was fast-tracked back into five-eighth illustrated that captain Simon Mannering needed help on the field.
It was clear there were a number of players who couldn't absorb the level and intensity across a season and their performances dipped.
Sometimes you can have a lull in your performance and it takes senior leaders to make that difference and lift a team.
Mannering, though, can't do it on his own.
In that way, senior players are more important than a coach. The coach can come up with the game plan but it's the players who implement it and they must take the initiative when putting the plan into action.
It's a big part of why the Warriors signed Ryan Hoffman from Melbourne for next season because they desperately need more leaders within the squad.
In my role with Sky TV, I sit on the sidelines during games and the Warriors have to be one of the quietest teams in the NRL.
Communication is crucial when the pressure comes on so everyone knows what they are doing.
The big win over the Titans last weekend was the best way they could have hit back after the lull.
Does it mean they have popped out the other side and are playing the way they should be? Hopefully.
They played with great urgency and there were some terrific performances from key personnel.
One who stood out for me was Sione Lousi.
I had never seen him play like that before.
In the past he was often the first to slump and have his hands on his knees or dawdle back into defence but against the Titans he sprinted back into the line and chased kickers.
It's the type of urgency the Warriors will need against the Panthers on Sunday.
They can have the best moves and shape in the game but if they aren't urgent and enthusiastic then everything else falters.
Admittedly the Titans aren't a great side so it's important not to get carried away by the big score the Warriors posted.
I would prefer to be playing the Panthers this weekend than a side already out of top-eight contention. Teams who are already out of contention are the most dangerous because they play with freedom and let the ball go.
At least the Warriors know what the Panthers will dish up against them at Penrith Stadium at the foot of the Blue Mountains. They are a pretty predictable team and the Warriors are very familiar with how coach Ivan Cleary likes to play the game.
It's going to be a massive game but it amazes me the Warriors are in this position and left it this late.
