Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney has the backing of the New Zealand Rugby League despite being embroiled in the Melbourne Storm's salary cap scandal.
NZRL chief executive Jim Doyle says Kearney is understandably shattered by what has happened but there has been no talk of him sitting out next month's ANZAC test in Melbourne.
"He's very, very upset obviously and very shocked and about what's happened as well. They'll work through next few days as to what the season ahead looks like."
Doyle is optimistic the May 7 test in Melbourne will not be affected by what has happened at the Storm as it is a test match involving Australia and New Zealand.
