NRL winger Daniel Vidot is set for one of the more unlikely code-switches, moving from league to the WWE.
The Australian-Samoan said on his Facebook page that he has been offered a three-year-deal by the wrestling corporation, having caught the eye at a three-day trial at the WWE Performance Centre.
Debuting for the Canberra Raiders at age 19, Vidot scored 27 tries before moving to the St George Ilawarra Dragons, and later the Brisbane Broncos. He has scored 53 tries in 112 games in his NRL career, and has represented Samoa on 10 occassions.
Vidot is set to leave the NRL to take up a short term deal in rugby union before moving to the US to link up with the WWE.
"WWE trial finished and they said ... Yes," Vidot posted on Facebook this morning.
