Three Wests Tigers players will be monitored for the presence of hepatitis A after eating potentially contaminated berries from China.
Four frozen berry products have been recalled this week due to fears they're linked to the viral disease, with 12 people - five in Queensland, three in Victoria, and four in NSW - becoming sick with hepatitis A.
On Tuesday, the NRL club issued a statement saying there had been "no symptoms" and "no confirmed cases of the infection".
The players, who were not named in the statement, consumed the products several weeks ago.
"On advice of Dr Lorenzos the players will be closely monitored over time," the statement read. "This is isolated amongst a small group of players who had independently purchased the products.
