Wests Tigers players Liam Fulton, Bryce Gibbs and Beau Ryan have been fined for drinking while being on the NRL club's injury list.
The Tigers have a strict protocol which demands zero alcohol consumption for all players who are rehabilitating from injury.
The three players have admitted to drinking while eating dinner and watching a couple of NRL matches on television recently at a venue in western Sydney.
Fulton, Gibbs and Ryan have been censured from making comment on the issue.
Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys said the players understood they had done the wrong thing.
"The players understand that they have let themselves and their teammates down with a poor decision on this occasion," Humphreys said.
"They have apologised to their teammates and have been fined for the breach of team protocols.
"The players are now focussed on their rehabilitation programs and are 100% committed to returning to the field as soon as possible."
