A moment of madness put Parramatta halfback Chris Sandow in the sin-bin and cost the Eels on the scoreboard as Melbourne romped home 46-20 on Sunday in their NRL clash at AAMI Park.
Parramatta were left to rue a brain explosion in the 60th minute by Sandow who was binned for dissent after asking referee Ben Cummins: "How much are they paying you?" following a penalty against his team.
While the Eels were a man down, the Storm crossed for three tries which gave the home side the match-winning lead.
Melbourne scored eight tries with superstar fullback Billy Slater putting his Origin pain behind him with a starring performance.
Slater scored two tries and set up two others.
