A stomach bug has cut down a host of North Queensland Cowboys players ahead of Saturday's NRL match against the Warriors.
Six Cowboys, including co-captains Matt Scott and Johnathan Thurston and hooker Aaron Payne, are overcoming a nasty bout of gastro in the lead-up to their must-win match in Auckland.
Both teams still have a chance of securing a home playoff game, although the Warriors hopes are somewhat slim.
A win would give the Cowboys a chance of pinching fourth spot from the Tigers.
