Brisbane have come from behind against the Sydney Roosters to secure captain Corey Parker a victory in his final NRL regular-season match.
The Broncos overcame a sloppy opening 30 minutes on Thursday night to post a 24-14 win at Suncorp Stadium in Parker's 154th NRL match.
Coach Wayne Bennett will have plenty of questions after an underwhelming display ahead of the finals, however the victory does lift Brisbane into fourth on the ladder.
Fifth-placed North Queensland need to beat Gold Coast on Saturday in Townsville for the premiers to secure a top-four finish.
Just like they did last weekend against Cronulla, the 14th-placed Roosters started brightly.
