On Wednesday night he might have felt he could do no wrong but NSW centre Michael Jennings is in hot water after he was arrested and charged with hindering police following an alleged incident in Sydney.
The 27-year NSW and Roosters centre was man of the match in Wednesday night's second Origin game in Melbourne, won 26-18 by NSW, but was one of two men stopped by police in a car park in Parramatta in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He was reportedly with his 19-year-old brother who was allegedly kicking a boom gate. When police approached, Jennings is alleged to have come at them in an aggressive manner.
He was arrested and will face court on July 20 charged with hindering police and offensive behaviour while his brother was given a fine for offensive behaviour.
Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan told the Sunday Telegraph the club had reported the arrest to the NRL integrity unit and were waiting for more details.
