Newcastle cult hero Adam MacDougall will be the NRL's oldest player in 2011 after announcing he will play another season with the Knights.
The 35-year-old centre will take his career into a 17th season after signing a one-year extension.
"I'm looking forward to playing in 2011 in what shapes as an exciting year for the club with the reopening of the new grandstand (at EneryAustralia Stadium) and the acquisition of several key players," said MacDougall, who has played five tests for Australia and 11 State of Origin games for NSW.
The New Zealand Warriors' Steve Price, at 36, was the oldest player in the competition this year but failed to play a game due to injury and announced his retirement.
