St George Illawarra Dragons and Kiwis test winger Jason Nightingale will miss Saturday's NRL clash against the Warriors in Wellington with a syndesmosis sprain in his right leg.
The 28-year-old suffered the injury during the Dragons 46-24 win over the Newcastle Knights at Jubilee Oval on Sunday.
Nightingale will be further assessed over the coming days to determine the extent of the injury but he is expected to be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks.
"Jason has undertaken an MRI scan and the results support the initial diagnosis of an ankle syndesmosis sprain sustained during the win over the Knights on Sunday," said Dragons High Performance Manager Mark Andrews.
"As a result, he will be unavailable for selection this week as he continues to be assessed over the next several days."
