The Warriors will wear new home and away jerseys for the 2012 season.
A highlight of the jersey design is a return to a traditional rugby league V, a feature not seen on a regular Warriors jersey since 2003.
Veteran first-graders Micheal Luck and Manu Vatuvei were among those to try on the jerseys yesterday. Also pulling on his new colours for the first time was the Warriors' major acquisition Nathan Friend, who has moved to Auckland after five seasons with the Gold Coast Titans.
Shaun Johnson, the club's 2011 Young NRL Player of the Year, was impressed with the new look. "Having a new strip freshens everything up. I'm excited about it and I know the boys are looking forward to wearing it,'' he said.
The change in design coincides with Canterbury of New Zealand signing on for another three years with the Warriors. The new home strip is again predominantly black, the jersey featuring a white V with red trim, while the away kit is white with a black and red V on the jersey. Two other designs will be revealed during the season for special rounds.
