Fuifui Moimoi has become the first NRL player charged following changes to the shoulder charge rule, with the Parramatta prop facing a two-week ban.
Moimoi was slapped with a grade one charge for his hit on Samoan five-eighth Carlos Tuimavave while playing for Tonga in Saturday night's Pacific test in Penrith.
The veteran front-rower will miss two games if he contests the charge and loses, but can reduce the ban to just one match with an early guilty plea. After banning the shoulder charge during the off-season, the NRL widened the scope of the ban to include incidental contact as a result of the tackle.
Warriors under-20s fullback Viliami Kaveinga was last week suspended for six games under the new rule.
