Reports in Australia suggest Graham Lowe is set to help struggling Parramatta coach Stephen Kearney resurrect the club and his career.
The Sun-Herald indicated Eels officials had held discussions with the former New Zealand and Queensland coach about joining in a football manager role.
Lowe (65) was most recently chief executive at Manly until health problems forced him home in April last year.
Manly went on to win the premiership. Sea Eagles chairman Scott Penn paid tribute to Lowe stabilising the club after a bitter boardroom feud.
It's understood Lowe has made a recovery and is keen to again become involved in the NRL. It would mean commuting between Auckland and Sydney in the early stages.
