The Gold Coast have wasted no time in finding their replacement for Greg Bird, signing Melbourne second-rower Kevin Proctor to a four-year NRL deal.
The New Zealand representative will remain with the Titans until at least the end of the 2020 NRL season, after being released from the final two years of his contract with the Storm.
"We've had some experienced players depart but Kevin will help fill that void," Titans coach Neil Henry said. "Kevin is an international player that comes to the club with plenty of runs on the board.
"We'll be looking for him to come in and lead the way, especially for the younger guys around him."
Proctor, 27, debuted with Melbourne in 2008, and has gone on to play 179 games for the club.
