Greg Inglis has become the first superstar to take advantage of the new NRL broadcast deal by signing a lucrative five-year contract with South Sydney.
Inglis, who joined Souths at the start of the 2011 season, has committed his future to the club until the end of 2017, having agreed a deal that's believed to make him the highest-paid player in the game.
The 25-year-old enjoyed his best season with the club and helped Michael Maguire's side to reach the finals for the first time in five years.
"I couldn't be happier to have sorted out my future for the long term, and to be part of the Rabbitohs' plans for the next five years or more is very special for me," Inglis said.
"I came here at the start of 2011 and have really felt at home.
