Parramatta fullback Jarryd Hayne will miss two NRL matches after he accepted the early guilty plea on his headbutting charge today.
Hayne was charged with a grade two striking charge for his headbutt on Canterbury forward Corey Payne during Parramatta's 34-14 loss last Friday night.
He had considered fighting the suspension - but after consultation with leading QC Geoff Bellew, has chosen to accept the two-week penalty.
The 2009 Dally M medal winner will miss the Eels' clashes with the Gold Coast this Sunday and St George Illawarra, on Sunday week.
Parramatta are struggling in 2011, winning just twice in the opening four rounds while Hayne has been unable to ignite a misfiring attack.
