The NRL could see a new kicking reward if the referees boss has his way.
Bill Harrigan's proposed a 20-40 rule, that would mirror the current 40-20, where the same reward would be offered to a team kicking inside its 20 and finding the sideline in the opposition's 40.
Harrigan says it's designed to make for thrilling finishes, where teams who need points quickly, kick from their own half and try to get a territorial advantage.
He says the response from NRL bosses is positive, and it could be introduced in next year's All Stars match.
