NSW and Cronulla skipper Paul Gallen is reportedly set to miss up to five weeks of NRL action with a foot injury suffered in State of Origin II.
Scans have revealed Gallen suffered a partial tear of the plantar fascia tissue in the arch of his left foot in the last 10 minutes of Wednesday's match, according to News Limited.
It's believed the injury will sideline Gallen for three to five weeks.
That puts him in serious doubt for the Origin series decider at ANZ Stadium on July 17, but the 31-year-old is determined to push on and be fit for the do-or-die match.
"My goal hasn't changed. I'll be doing everything I can to be fit for game three,'' Gallen told News Ltd.
