Troubled NRL star Blake Ferguson has been charged by police after allegedly being caught speeding and driving while his licence was suspended.
Ferguson, who on Wednesday was stood down by his Canberra NRL club for failing to turn up to training, was stopped while driving on the Hume Highway near Mittagong on Saturday afternoon.
A NSW police spokeswoman said a 23-year-old man was issued with a ticket for travelling 18km/h over the speed limit.
"Police checks revealed the ACT driver's licence was already suspended,'' she said.
He was scheduled to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on October 21.
